முனைவர் சிலம்பாயி முத்துசாமி சிங்கப்பூர்க் கல்வி அமைச்சின் பாடக்கலைத்திட்ட வரைவு, மேம்பாட்டுப் பிரிவின் தமிழ்மொழிப் பகுதியில் வழிகாட்டு சிறப்பாய்வாளராகப் பணியாற்றுகிறார். கல்வித்துறையில் 49 ஆண்டுகள் அனுபவம் கொண்ட இவர் தொடக்கப்பள்ளி, உயர்நிலைப்பள்ளிகளில் 29 ஆண்டுகள் தமிழாசிரியராகப் பணிபுரிந்துள்ளார். பாலர் பள்ளி, தொடக்கநிலை, உயர்நிலை, பல்கலைக்கழகப் புகுமுகநிலை என அனைத்து நிலைகளிலும் கல்வி அமைச்சின் தமிழ்மொழிப் பாடக்கலைத்திட்டத்தை உருவாக்குவதில் இவர் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியுள்ளார். இவர் அனைத்துலகக் கருத்தரங்குகளிலும் பல்வேறு தளங்களிலும் தமிழ்மொழி கற்றல், கற்பித்தல் குறித்துப் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டுள்ளார்.

திருவாட்டி மஹாலட்சுமி அமிர்தலிங்கம் சிங்கப்பூர்க் கல்வி அமைச்சின் பாடக்கலைத்திட்ட வரைவு, மேம்பாட்டுப் பிரிவின் தமிழ்மொழிப் பகுதியில் மூத்த பாடக்கலைத்திட்ட வரைவு அதிகாரியாகப் பணியாற்றுகிறார். கல்வித்துறையில் 21 ஆண்டுகள் அனுபவம் கொண்ட இவர் ஜூரோங் வெஸ்ட் உயர்நிலைப்பள்ளியில் மூத்த ஆசிரியராக ஐந்து ஆண்டுகள் பணியாற்றியுள்ளார். பள்ளியில் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டுவதோடு ஆசிரியர்களின் கற்பித்தல் நடைமுறைகளை மேம்படுத்துவதிலும் இவர் முக்கியப் பங்காற்றுகிறார். இவர் பயிலரங்குகளிலும் அனைத்துலகக் கருத்தரங்குகளிலும் தமிழ்மொழி கற்றல் கற்பித்தல் குறித்துப் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டுள்ளார்.

திருவாட்டி சீதா சக்திவேல் சிங்கப்பூர்க் கல்வி அமைச்சின் பாடக்கலைத்திட்ட வரைவு, மேம்பாட்டுப் பிரிவின் தமிழ்மொழிப் பகுதியில் மூத்த பாடக்கலைத்திட்ட வரைவு அதிகாரியாகப் பணியாற்றுகிறார். கல்வித்துறையில் 14 ஆண்டுகள் அனுபவம் கொண்ட இவர் உமறுப்புலவர் தமிழ்மொழி நிலையத்தில் கல்வித் தொழில்நுட்பப் பாடத்தலைவராக மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் பணிபுரிந்துள்ளார். உயர்நிலைப் பாடக்கலைத்திட்டத்தை உருவாக்குவதில் இவர் தம் பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியுள்ளார். இவர் உள்ளூர், அனைத்துலகக் கருத்தரங்கு எனப் பல்வேறு தளங்களில் லும் தமிழ்மொழி கற்றல், கற்பித்தல் குறித்துப் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டுள்ளார்.

Dr Silambayee Muthusamy is a Lead Specialist at the Tamil Language Unit, Mother Tongue Languages Branch of the Curriculum Planning and Development Division 1 at the Ministry of Education, Singapore. With 49 years of experience in the education sector, including 29 years teaching Tamil across primary and secondary schools. She has contributed significantly to developing MOE Tamil Language Curriculum at every level, pre-school, primary, secondary and pre-university, across multiple curriculum cycles spanning two decades. She has presented at international conferences and conducted workshops across various platforms.

Mdm Magahletchimi Amarthalingam is a Senior Curriculum Planning Officer in the Tamil Language Unit, Mother Tongue Languages Branch, Curriculum Planning and Development Division at the Ministry of Education, Singapore. With 21 years of experience in the education sector, including five years as a Senior Teacher at Jurong West Secondary School, she has made significant contributions to advancing Tamil Language education. In her current role, Mdm Magahletchimi plays a key part in enhancing classroom practices and providing guidance to teachers. She has also actively shared her expertise in Tamil Language teaching and learning through workshops and international conferences.

Mdm Sakthivel Seetha is a Senior Curriculum Planning Officer with the Tamil Language Unit, Mother Tongue Languages Branch, Curriculum Planning and Development Division 1, at the Ministry of Education, Singapore. She has 14 years of experience in the education sector, including three years as Subject Head for Educational Technology at Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre. She has contributed to the development of the MOE Tamil Language curriculum at the secondary level and has played an active role in supporting curriculum planning and implementation. Mdm Seetha has also presented at national and international conferences and conducted professional workshops across various platforms.

Synopsis

This sharing session invites parents and children to bond over language learning whilst gaining valuable insights into the Secondary Tamil Curriculum. Parents will explore how the curriculum builds on primary foundations, ensuring a smooth transition through structured teaching, assessment and expectations. The session highlights the shift towards critical thinking and deeper cultural engagement. Through hands-on activities, parents will learn practical ways to support their child at home, including reading books and newspapers together, having meaningful conversations and nurturing independent thought. Specialist and MOE officers will share resources to make Tamil learning enjoyable, accessible and enriching every day.
