Profile
Mr Neo Hai Bin is a performance maker, educator, theatre analyst, and writer, active in the theatre scene since his debut in 2009. His literary practice involves research on social issues and the human condition, and includes the writing of poems, prose, critiques, and short stories, primarily published in Lianhe Zaobao.
内容简介
我们都希望孩子们能自信地说华语,也希望孩子们对华文产生兴趣。作为戏剧创作者兼教育者,主讲者将分享他多年来的戏剧教学经验,与参与者一起探索如何通过“玩”,让戏剧创作中的“想象力”与语言教学中的“创造力”相互结合,为孩童与青少年打开通往语言学习与表达的一扇门。
Synopsis
To help children become confident in speaking Chinese and develop a genuine interest in the language, how can we support them effectively? Drawing on his experience as a theatre-maker and drama educator, the speaker will share how the elements of imagination and creativity in drama can be applied in language education. He will also explore how we can unlock creative expression for children through “play”, and how such approaches can make Chinese language learning more engaging, expressive, and meaningful.
