赵全胤女士是新加坡新传媒8频道新闻主播，同时也是时事节目《焦点》的主持人。她自大学毕业后，便加入新传媒，曾担任编辑、记者及主持人等职务，并曾主持新加坡全国大选开票夜的现场直播节目。

除了电视新闻工作外，她也积极参与数码内容制作，负责幕后策划与执行工作。她曾参与《街头遇见你》与《看见主播》的节目制作，并取得良好反响。2025年，她制作了一期以本地游乐场为主题的特别报道，深入探讨游乐空间与儿童玩耍之间的关系，引发观众共鸣。

Profile

Zhao Quanyin is a news presenter on Mediacorp Channel 8 and the host of the current affairs programme "Focus". After graduating from university, she joined Mediacorp, where she has held various roles including that of editor, reporter, and presenter. Her experience includes hosting the Singapore General Election Polling Night broadcast.

Beyond television broadcasting, Quan Yin is also actively involved in digital content production, contributing to both planning and execution. She has worked on programmes such as "Speak Up On The Street" and "Presenter Insights", both of which have been well-received. In 2025, she produced a special feature on local playgrounds, exploring the relationship between play spaces and children's playtime. This resonated particularly strongly with audiences.

Synopsis

In this session, Ms Zhao Quanyin draws on her dual experience as a news anchor and a mother of a five-year-old to explore why many children in Singapore find learning Chinese stressful. She engages parents in reflecting on the importance of play in Chinese learning, as well as the fundamental question of why we learn the language in the first place.

Parents will leave with practical tips to support their child's Chinese language learning in a more positive and enjoyable way.
