Profile

Dr Connie Lum is a senior early childhood educator with nearly 30 years of experience in teaching and teacher training. She possesses extensive expertise in curriculum design and development and has authored 88 children’s picture books. She currently serves as Vice-Group Leader of the Preschool Group under the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning. She is frequently invited by the media to share her professional insights and actively contributes to both local and international educational platforms through talks and lectures.

Synopsis

This sharing session is designed for caregivers, expectant parents, and new parents. It introduces practical language-guidance strategies starting at birth that create a rich and intentional language environment through everyday interactions involving multisensory auditory, visual, tactile, and kinaesthetic experiences and activities.

Participants will gain simple and ready-to-use ideas to support infants’ language acquisition and overall development in natural and meaningful ways.
